Looking Back at 2023
December 18, 2023The end of the year brings some more good news for customers and installers alike, with new rules being enforced to reduce ‘costly’ planning system previously in place. Therefore, meaning ‘businesses and homeowners will be able to install solar panels on their roofs without going through the planning system,’ (“New Planning Rules to Boost Solar Rollout and Slash Energy Bills,” 2023) which has previously resulted in extra costs. The new rules will also ‘encourage more people to install solar panels on their properties,’ and in turn will ‘slash their energy bills.’ (“New Planning Rules to Boost Solar Rollout and Slash Energy Bills,” 2023)
This is great for installers, who will find even less friction in the process and find homeowners are even more willing to go ahead with solar PV installation. Not only is this good for the customer/installer, but also the environment, and ties back in to the governments plans to achieve net zero by 2035.
