In turn, giving installers the full stack to become qualified in the installation, design an maintenance of the systems, as well as obtaining their WRAS and Unvented qualifications. This package is designed for qualified plumbers, heating or gas engineers who need to complete their WRAS and Unvented before undertaking heat pump training, and also want a more in-depth understanding of the design elements of the systems.

BPEC WRAS Water Regulations
GRE Energy Training delivers this one day BPEC Water Regulations course that has been designed for those installers who need to gain the required knowledge of the Water Regulations 1999 before either applying to join their local water authorities “Water Industry Approved Plumber Scheme”, or one of the plumbing competent person schemes.
Duration: 1 Day
BPEC G3 Unvented Hot Water
This BPEC G3 Unvented Hot Water course is for plumbing and heating engineers who want to install Domestic Hot Water Storage Systems, and will demonstrate their competence so they can either join a Competent Persons’ Scheme allowing the self-certification of installations, or to notify the local Building Control department prior to commencing work.
Duration: 1 Day
Entry Requirements: Trainees must hold a recognised trade qualification (e.g. NVQ/SNVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating or Domestic Heating)
OR be working towards one
OR have evidence of a number of years’ experience in the plumbing or heating industry.
BPEC Award Air and Ground Source Heat Pump Systems Course (Grant Funded)
The 4 Day BPEC Air and Ground Source Heat Pump Systems NOS Mapped Qualification gives installers the skills and knowledge required to correctly design, install and maintain Air and Ground Source Heat Pump systems. This BPEC Heat Pump Systems Mapped Qualification is recognised as a demonstration of competence for the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS). The grant offers eligible candidates £500 off the full price of the course, making it just £295 + VAT.
Duration: 4 Days
Entry Requirements Trainees should hold a minimum NVQ level 2/3 in plumbing or conventional heating engineering or a level 3 gas qualification (be gas safe registered) or alternatively have demonstrable evidence of at least 3 years relevant experience.
BPEC Low Temperature Hot Water Heating Systems
The BPEC Low Temperature Hot Water Heating Systems is a 2 day course and although designed as a recommended pre-requisite qualification to allow progression onto the BPEC suite of Heat Pump qualifications, this qualification can also be taken by those experienced operatives wishing to develop their skills in the design of low temperature domestic heating systems.
Duration: 2 Days
Entry Requirements: Trainees should hold a minimum NVQ level 2/3 in plumbing or conventional heating engineering or demonstrable evidence of at least 3 years relevant experience.
In addition to the above requirements, you must also meet the below to access the £500 grant funding.
- Be registered in England
- Have 250 or less employees
- Be part of a competent person scheme
- Have some previous experience with Low Temperature Hot Water
Please note you will have to provide evidence of these before you attend the course.
