HETAS Stove Installation in Small Craft

With over 30,000 licensed boats on the inland waterways, many are now using renewable fuel sources to heat their onboard living spaces. HETAS has observed a growing number of enquiries about the safe and effective design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of stoves on boats.

This course is suitable for HETAS Registered Installers, Sweep & Service Technicians and candidates with a marine industry background who wish to extend their scope and knowledge of solid fuel dry appliances in Small Craft.

Pre-Requisites

HETAS Core and one of the following:

• Pre-commissioning
• Flue Draught testing
• Commissioning and handover
• Smoke Draw & Flue Draught Interference test
• Spillage
• Lighting the appliance
• CO Alarm positioning
• Fuel types & appropriate use
• Relevant British Standards References

Qualification: Candidates who successfully complete the course will gain HETAS certification, enabling them to register with the HETAS Competent Person Scheme (CPS) for the Installation in Small Craft.
