This 1-day BPEC Water Regulations course is designed for installers who need to develop a clear understanding of the Water Regulations 1999, prior to applying for their local water authority’s Water Industry Approved Plumber Scheme or a recognised plumbing competent person scheme.

Now an MCS requirement, successful completion of the BPEC Water Regulations qualification demonstrates competence for registration with an approved body.

This 1-day BPEC Water Regulations course is designed for installers who need to develop a clear understanding of the Water Regulations 1999, prior to applying for their local water authority’s Water Industry Approved Plumber Scheme or a recognised plumbing competent person scheme.

Course Objective:
This course includes a comprehensive guide and workbook and is fully recognised by WRAS as meeting their qualification requirements.

Course Outline:
The course covers the following topics:

  • Interpretation and definitions of the Water Regulations
  • Materials and substances
  • Requirements for design and installation
  • Backflow and contamination prevention
  • Hot and cold water services
  • Flushing devices
  • Sanitary appliances (internal and external)

Pre-requisites: This course is designed for plumbing and heating engineers; however, there are no formal entry requirements and it is open to anyone who would benefit from the training.

Certification: BPEC Water Regulations (WRAS) Certification.

Duration: 1 Day including theory, practical and assessment.
