Say Goodbye to ‘Bat-VAT’
February 8, 2024Ins and Outs of Solid Fuel so Far in 2024
February 29, 2024The government is seemingly in the process of removing certain barriers around renewable technology, with heat pumps at the forefront of this. In the UK, Heat Pumps can be installed domestically with no planning permission, but there are stipulation in place (which have been recently been deemed as unnecessary) which make it harder for households to install them. The stipulation relate to the distance in which the systems can be installed next to the household, as well as the size and number of the low carbon systems. Removing these stipulation would allow the UK to reach its clean energy potential and make it easier for households to install heat pumps (Daniel Särefjord, UK CEO of Swedish heat pump manufacturer Aira.)
There has been some resistance to Heat Pumps, and you may be asking yourself why should I replace my gas boiler with a heat pump? Well firstly, lets address the elephant in the room, Heat Pumps are not suitable for all homes. Now that’s out the way, the primary reason is that heat pumps ‘consume a small amount of energy and are four times more efficient than a gas boiler’ (Pham News, 2024.)
Now is the perfect time to get involved in Heat Pumps, and you can do so by clicking here.
